March 30, 2009 (week 28)

AP Physics 12 - We will complete chapter 19 (Electric Potential) this week. Students must complete at least 25 practice problems from each chapter in preparation for the chapter 18/19 test on April 8.

Physics 12 - same as AP Physics 12. The chapter 18/19 test will be on April 9.

Physics 11 - We will work on chapter 12.2 this week, calorimetry problems. Students must complete the practice problems in preparation for the chapter 12 test on April 8.

Science 8 - This week we will work on section 4.2 and 4.3 on light waves and do plenty of interesting hands-on activities. Students should complete workbook chapter 4 at their own pace, in preparation for the chapter 4 test on date TBA.

Math 9 - We have started chapter 5 Factoring Polynomials. Students must complete the practice problems in each section.

March 23, 2009 (week 27)

AP Physics 12 - We are starting chapter 19 Electric Potential.

Physics 12 - We are starting chapter 19 Electric Potential.

Physics 11 - We will begin studying chapter 12 Thermal Energy. Expect plenty of lab activities related to heat energy and rate of heat transfer.

Science 8 - We are starting chapter 4 Waves and Light. Students should complete workbook chapter 4 at their own pace.

March 9, 2009 (week 26)

AP Physics 12 - This week we will learn about Electric Fields and how they can exert forces on charged particles. We will complete chapter 18 before we leave for Spring Break and when we return from vacation we will get started with chapter 19 Electric Potential.

Physics 12 - Same as AP Physics 12

Physics 11 - We are starting chapter 12 Thermal Energy and will do a few interesting labs related to heat energy and the efficiency of heating devices.

Science 8 - We are starting chapter 4 Waves. Students will learn some wave terminology including wavelength, frequency, crest, trough, and amplitude. Students should complete workbook chapter 4 at their own pace in preparation for the test in a few weeks.

Math 9 - We continue our studies in chapter 4 Polynomials. Students must complete the practice problems in each section of chapter 4. Reminder of the chapter 3 Equations re-test on March 12.
